Florence Winds At 18,000 Feet

Wind map of the world at various hPa altitudes. Notice high pressures areas due East and West of Florence affecting the storms track. Press the EARTH button at lower left to change info on map. Wind at different altitudes, moisture, particulates and chemicals in the air are also available in the menu.

to track airborne particulates from the various California wildfires. The smoke in my area has been bad at times. It's also a great resource for understanding weather in general.
At 250 hPa (34,000') it shows all the jet streams. No wonder flying West to East is so much faster.

I've posted about it. Super typhoon Mangkhut is terrifying.

Maybe it's because Florence is in the US and affects posters here.
