(10,500 posts)4. That's a much wider margin of victory than I expected. The latest poll showed a three-way dead heat.
Hopefully James will win in November. I think she will be a good AG.

but hopefully he will keep his Congressional seat and wind up enjoying being in the majority.

Tish James' opponent, attorney Keith Wofford, is a partner in the New York City office of Ropes & Gray.
His views. Bolding added:

We need an attorney general who knows how to recover the billions of dollars in waste, fraud and abuse in Albany, Wofford said. We need an attorney general who knows the difference between the good case and bad one.
Given that Wofford only just entered the race, his acceptance speech was the first chance he has had to make his views known to the public. He promised to not use the Martin Act to threaten, bully and intimidate businesses into settlements, and said former Attorney General Eliot Spitzer had damaged our financial institutions
He criticized Eric Schneiderman for launching one progressive crusade after another.
Theyre going to have to be reviewed, Wofford says of the states cases against the federal government. Some of them were clearly political in their genesis. Were going to have to review them on the merits, and the ones that are not meritorious, were going to stop spending taxpayers' money on.
