1. she's already called him to congratulate him

...spoke about the "blue wave" of voters coming.

I'd concern myself more with what her supporters intend to do. This kind of backbiting against her is not the way to help make that happen.

This is just poking her and her supporters in the eye after their loss. How about giving it a rest? These posts here today nipping at these defeated progressives' heels is unproductive and wrong. They brought hundreds of thousands of voters to our primary and deserve credit for that, not this in their face bull the morning after.

2. It's a serious, important question.

She can influence her supporters. I'm not poking anyone anywhere. I'm asking a question that has impact on November. It's a question that needs to be asked, and answered.

You'd like me not to ask it, perhaps, but I will ask. There is less than two months remaining before the General Election. What Ms. Nixon does may have an impact on that election, and not just in the Governor's race.

We need the turnout. We need a massive turnout across the nation. Everyone needs to help make that happen. Those who work against it, and there will be some, will be working for Republicans, even if that is not their intention.

So, I ask what Cynthia Nixon will do. I do not apologize for that.

5. it's more important what Cuomo will do

...imagine his campaign or office demanding an endorsement this morning.

I think that would be highly conterproductive, and correctly seen as an affront to her supporters, obviously stung by the loss and considering their place in this election.

Give it half a minute, ffs. This isn't about Nixon, so much anymore, as it is about how much the Cuomo camp is able to draw her supporters into their election effort.

(watch this post of yours and ask yourself whether this is actually unifying or unproductive)

or anyone else for that matter can be smeared and lied about but any hint of reciprocity and they cry foul. This is going on 3 years now with this tactic. Kudus to New York voters for soundly rejecting it.

12. 500,000 New Yorkers embraced the insurgent candidacy
Fri Sep 14, 2018, 11:29 AM

...lot's of Democratic energy in New York, much of it generated by supporters of Nixon's and other progressive insurgencies.

The effect of strident criticism of these candidates is the risk of alienating their supporters, which the Cuomo campaign needs to continue the 'blue wave' in November. If you're still fighting Nixon, you're doing it wrong.

14. There's no need to fight Nixon. She lost.

What there is a need for is unity heading into November. She can encourage that, or simply walk away and do nothing. My question is about which choice she'll make. It's totally her decision. I doubt she is interested in my opinion, frankly.

We'll see what she decides. Her supporters will also decide what they will do. I think she could help them decide. But, again, that's her choice. I hope her supporters consider their options carefully and opt to return to the polls in November to vote for the Democrat on the ballot.

I doubt they're looking to me, either, to help them decide.

I'm asking a question, the answer to which remains to be seen.

"Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who controls and helps fund the committee and will face off against Nixon in Thursday's primary election, denounced the controversial flier on Sunday and denied signing off on it."
