and was popular, with a circle of friends. That's reality. We all have different facets to our character, and there are a bunch of people who like the personal Brett they know and a lot of others who despise him professionally.

Imo, there's no way of knowing what the truth is to this, but I wouldn't be so opposed to him if I didn't fear empowering this authoritarian extremist because of what we do know.
