Two of the sixty-five have reiterated their support. Two others have explicitly refused to comment, while the others either haven’t responded or haven’t been able to be reached. NONE have repudiated their support.

an all boys private school to be able to vouch for his character?

I would think every single one of these women know of the Ford letter, word for word...silence is thunderous non-support for Judge KKK.

Kavanaugh’s defenders included four of the 65 high-school acquaintances who signed an open letter last week vouching for his character after the allegations were first reported.

“I stand by the letter I signed. I do not know this woman,” said Stephanie Conway McGill by email on Sunday, referring to Ford. McCaleb added, “I absolutely stand by the letter we signed.”

"I 100 percent stand behind my letter," Julie DeVol, another of the women who signed the letter, told POLITICO Monday.

"The Brett Kavanaugh I know is a good and decent person, and I have never seen him treat women with anything but respect," Virginia Hume wrote on Twitter Monday.

This makes me doubt the integrity of Hill Reporter on this subject.

"It only took a few short days but 63 of the 65 women who initially signed the pledge have backed away from their support of Kavanaugh."

That's all it says on the matter. How do we know? Did they make public statements, did Hill Reporter reach out to them, etc. It's never explained.

of which the relevant section is this:

Kavanaugh’s defenders on Sunday included Meghan McCaleb and Stephanie Conway McGill, two of the 65 high-school acquaintances of Kavanaugh who signed an open letter last week vouching for his character after the allegations were first reported.

“I stand by the letter I signed. I do not know this woman,” said McGill by email on Sunday, referring to Ford. McCaleb added, “I absolutely stand by the letter we signed.”

More than two dozen of the women who signed onto the letter did not immediately respond when contacted by POLITICO on Sunday about whether they still stood behind their defense of Kavanaugh. Two of the women who signed the letter declined to comment.

It's now "may have lost"... and there isn't actually any evidence that any of the signers have changed their mind. The author is just comparing the total list to the two who were interviewed in a recent restatement of their support.
