Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsHow will Trump respond to the disaster in the Carolinas?
The President, who recently compared himself to Abraham Lincoln, must be aware of the disaster that is taking place.
How quickly and effectively will he act?
Will he issue a declaration that this is "bad, bad?"
Will he send his thoughts and prayers to whoever?
Will he issue an order that thousands of paper towels be sent immediately?
Then again, does he own any golf course in the area? And if not, is he even aware that a hurricane has devastated an area of America?
Has anyone told him that as president, he must say or do something? Anything?
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
And, oh yeah, one more thing. Are you among those who believe that only an aware, rational, normal human being should occupy the Oval Office?

(82,849 posts)Why would he do that? He's a busy guy, and he doesn't have time to attend to every little rainstorm in the United States. Jeez, you libruls! Those Trump resorts don't rent themselves, you know, and those rounds of golf don't play themselves. Somebody else can attend to these niggling little matters. What's Ben Carson doing these days?

(15,035 posts)But what the hell. Disasters, destroyed infrastructure, life, death: It's become apparent to any casual observer that Republicans don't care about any of this "stuff." It doesn't put money in their pockets. It has nothing to do with their hold on power, It's just a bunch of shit for "people who don't matter."
Marie Antionette said, "Let them eat cake." And we all know what happened to her.
Sooo, dear Republican Party. Pig out on the spoils while you can. The pendulum will swing back. And when it does, it will bury you in an avalanche of justice.
