I recall many parties etc from my high school days... but I could not testify to my presence/absence

at every single one which somebody might decide to ask me about. There were far too many, and they were far too repetitive, that absent prom nights and a handful of other special days, the details do not stand out unless something really unusual happened. I'm very skeptical of the claim that "I didn't try to rape her because I wasn't at that party" precisely because it relies upon the recollection of not being at a specific place on a specific date. And ABSENT the accusation, it is a MUNDANE forgettable evening which one would have no reason to REMEMBER NOT BEING AT. That just doesn't hold water.

It would be different to say "I've never been to that house" or "I've never met this person." It is easily disproved, of course, if you are lying -- and anyone in your lifetime circle of acquaintance might testify otherwise. That's probably why he cannot try that stratagem.

It would also be different to say "I've never tried to rape anyone." (that, for the record, is the optimal position to actually occupy; I am very disturbed most people including myself can say this and the next SC justice cannot)

But Kavanaugh went for "I wasn't at that party..."

He’s as incompetent as Rudy. Either way, the GOP is stuck with that stupid statement. Kavanaugh will have to say hatch misspoke or he’ll have to confirm it. This is a mess for Kavanaugh’s lawyers. Enjoying watching it, though

If Kavanaugh actually said this to Hatch, it's a pretty strange denial given that Prof. Ford has never said the date of the party or whose house it was at. How does he know when "that party" even was? What a bunch of BS.

And if I was, I certainly didn't go into the upstairs bedroom. And if I did, I never pushed that woman down on the queen sized bed with the light green sheets and quilted throw...

Give it up, lying shit-for-brains!
