Would not an innocent nominee agree to any attempts to clear his name?

Kavanaugh is in quite a pickle, it appears.

Meaning it'll be "impossible" to get the truth. Bring on as many witnesses as needed.

The Republican's total disregard for law is astounding. Its only use for law that the Republicans have is its use as a weapon to bury the truth and prosecute the innocent.

I don't know if he's lying for Kavenaugh, but let's assume he is. Doing so would put him on a very thin branch that could snap at any time if more evidence emerges and Kavenaugh decides to come clean with an admission. That would take him down hard, something I'm sure Judge will consider as he raises his right hand. Judge has no upside to lying as far as I know other than doing Kavenaugh a solid.

I suspect his memory of that night will suddenly fade under oath.

Maybe he was in a blackout and doesn't remember but there was a reason he jumped on top of Kavanaugh, twice, when Kavanaugh was trying to rape Ford.

he can't remember anything after his first drink. So he is either going to be fiercely cross examined (if testifying) or he'll have to admit that he lied when he wrote his book. In either case, he'll be deemed a very poor witness. Let's have people who heard contemporaneous statements from Ford, and let's hear from the therapist's notes.

Call your senators (and others); let them know YOU want "other relevant witnesses" to have a chance to speak!

Kreepy Kavanaugh doesn't belong on our Supreme Court.

Judicial Committee Chair Grassley has already declared there will be only the two principal witnesses for Monday's hearing or it won't happen at all.

19. One good witness would be a friend Ms Ford told that night.

It makes sense that any young woman would confide in close friends after such an incident. If one of those friends came forward to describe the encounter in the same terms used by Ms Ford it would be significant. Although that may be here say, there is no other reason for Ford to tell a friend about it unless it happened. She didn't know he would be a nominee for the SC one day.
