But at the cost of unnatural-looking eyelids and scowling eyebrows/mouths. It isn't a good trade-off.

(7,220 posts)can make a subtle difference that, done conservatively, is not easily noticeable. I dare say you probably know many people who've had a minor amount of nonsurgical "work" done (presuming a certain level of disposable income), and the reason you don't know is they didn't overdo it.
Wealthy, famous women however (and some men) in the public spotlight, especially those with misogynistic or controlling spouses with impossibly high beauty standards, tend to go way overboard. Hence the smooth, but unnatural results.
