"Surging" Santorum hearts black people: "This is just someone trying to cause trouble"

Rick Santorum felt Monday evening there’s too much being drawn from his recent controversial comments on African-Americans, so he blamed his words on someone else.

The GOP presidential candidate was asked by Fox News’ Sean Hannity to explain his eyebrow raising statement on Monday, when Santorum said, “I don’t want to make black people’s lives better by giving them other people’s money.”

“I don’t single out on any group of people, that’s one thing I don’t do,” the former Pennsylvania Senator explained to Hannity. “I don’t divide people by group and race and class. I believe that in no people in this country. And I condemn all forms of racism. There’s no one that’s been out here working, as you know, in the inner city, and with people of all different races.”

Santorum added: “I condemn all forms of racism and there’s nobody who has done more as a Republican in the United States Senate to bring African-Americans into the party. Go ask J.C. Watts. Ask Michael Steele. I’ve worked with historically black colleges. I’ve done a ton of stuff. This is just someone trying to cause trouble.”

Santorum, like most of his fellow RWers want "personal responsibility" for other people, and then when it comes to them, when it is time to face the music, they just blame someone else, or issue a non-apology. Hell, he is all over the map. “I don’t want to make black people’s lives better by giving them other people’s money.” and then “I don’t single out on any group of people, that’s one thing I don’t do.” So he doesn't single out any group of people, except some groups of people sometimes? Oh, I'm sure it is just the librul media trying to make him look bad.

'Outside agitators' was the code phrase for yankees who came south in the 60s civil rights movement to 'challenge our beloved heritage'.

Anybody who saw the video clip who was not a racist and thought to themselves, "hey wait a minute..." when he singled out black people as being welfare bums. That's who.

...or anyone who aired it after it was filmed.

I posted a similar story earlier today regarding Michele Bachmann. She was being interviewed and her old quote about gays living a "sad life" came back to haunt her. She got upset and said it was a strange thing to say to her "during an election."
