Grassley aide who could question Dr. Ford deletes tweets after suggesting he’s ‘unfazed’ by sexual assault claims

An aide for Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) reportedly deleted a series of tweets this week after he was caught suggesting he was “unfazed” by sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Chief Counsel for Nominations Mike Davis, who works for Grassley, reportedly posted the remarks on Wednesday night. The tweets were captured by Adam Jentleson, a former staffer for Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV).

Davis also said that he is “determined to confirm” Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

According to Jentleson, Davis could be one of staffers to question Dr. Christine Blasey Ford about allegations that she was sexually assaulted by Kavanaugh.

In a follow-up tweet, Davis insisted that his remarks were referring to “Democrats’ partisan political attacks” and not Ford’s allegations.
