That is what I hear, havent seen it, but I wont be surprised if he says this shit and RIGHT in time to get people NOT to vote.
No bigger fan of his on this board than I WAS...not anymore.
FUCK him if this review is true.
No link, heard it on radio show.
And all the WONDERFUL work he has done now will be discounted by those who will put in doubt everything he has done.
I originally said "both the same" in OP Title for shorthand, the implication is the usual bullshit that while of course the GOP is bad and worse the DNC is not much better and guilty of this and that.

Be careful. You know that anything Republicans can do to trash his movie, they will.

(31,374 posts)Michael Moore rushed this movie into production and rushed to get it distributed before the election. Why? Because he wants people to come out and VOTE and not for Republicans.

(31,106 posts)I bet he does that with a swift kick to the ass of establishment Democrats, wanna bet?

If a Democrat isn't working for us, he/she needs to know. Why does saying this make me some sort of heretic (BTW, I just finished work on four primary campaigns; One Democratic Congresswoman, one Senate race, a State AG race, and a State Treasurer race. Won three out of four. I'm not exactly anti-Democrat. Thanks for your concern.

But if, after 20 or 30 years in politics, you haven't garnered enough support for your ideas, policies and positions - i.e., "established" a new, better way of doing things - you've failed.
The point of standing on the outside yelling and banging on the door is to get into the room so that you can change things from within, not to just stand around yelling and banging your fists.

(19,960 posts)I saw him on Democracy Now with Amy Goodman just this morning. He did a long interview with her and I only saw part one. He is sounding the alarm bells about Drumpf and desperately urging everyone to vote against him and his toadies, making comparisons to 1930s Germany. I don't recall if he mentioned Democrats specifically but he is certainly smart enough to know that that is the only way to dump the rump.

(19 posts)The movie shook me big time - Yes he did talk bad about the old Democratic party and how they blow it big time. With lots of positive about the new generation of democratic's specially the new women running for offices around the country. The Flint Michigan water issue and how it got to that point, it was really sad and disturbing. And even how Obama blew it, that was the hardest on me.
And of course how Trump is playing us all for suckers.

Michael Moore is an OK guy not perfect - I have been in meetings with him and see him a few times a year on the street, he owns two theaters here in Traverse City Mi. That is why he showed the premiere here.

(14,971 posts)After winning Michigan for Trump, Macomb County viewed as symbol of U.S. political realignment
It's a question being asked in light of Michigan's stunning shift from blue to red in the presidential election, due in large part to a fairly seismic shift in the cluster of suburbs northeast of Detroit.
The influence of working-class white voters is largely being credited with putting Republican Donald Trump on his way to the White House, and the vote count in Macomb County, the state's third-largest county, made the difference for Michigan on Tuesday.
"My suspicion is that what happened in Macomb is the same as what happened especially across the upper Midwest," said Timothy Bledsoe, a political science professor at Wayne State University. "There was kind of a revolt of working class whites ... who'd been part of the Democratic coalition for years."
Trump took about 54 percent of the vote in Macomb County, against Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton's 42 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson got about 3 percent of the vote. The difference of 48,348 votes was enough to swing Michigan for Trump.

These parents kids are sick with lead poisoning, and it never goes away, in fact, it gets passed down generations.

Democrats are spineless, weak, constantly compromising and backing down.
We should, like, only listen to people who didn't vote or voted for Trump because they are definitely the most honest and trustworthy, good decent folks, the most knowledgeable about our economy, politics, society, history and ... well, just everything.
Why didn't Obama/Dems stop ( _______ )?

(22,976 posts)Real events have gotten so strange, and now stack up so quickly that Moore's message is several steps behind, and thus lacks impact; at this point, the right-wing insanity is shamelessly out in front for all to see and experience, like it or not. A daily dose of Rachel Maddow offers far more pertinent information than two hours of Michael Moore once a year.
There's not much left for him to say that's novel anymore. The only worthwhile message is "get out and vote." And who needs to be told that, at this point?
