I've been thinking they have the goods on Kavanaugh and just weren't revealing everything yet. Let them all lie and sweat for awhile and then lower the boom. They dig a little deeper that way first.

(58,785 posts)prove her story is true to be devastating to this nomination. If it substantiates her story, lending significant credibility, and justifying more intensive criminal investigation, that'll do for SCOTUS purposes.
And, of course, if other witnesses are identified, such as friends Kavanaugh and Judge might have blabbed to... Of course, the Repubs will refuse to subpoena them, but it could persuade them to call finis to this confirmation, which is already hanging by a thread.

Grassley and Hatch must be censured for disrespecting a citizen of this used to be great country. Great? Maybe better than many.

(26,280 posts)enough evidence is presented to a jury that they convict him after he is on SCOTUS and I do not believe he can hide behind judicial immunity either since it does not involve any ruling or court case he made or heard.
