Trump and Mueller, a Game of Chicken

Trump wants to fire Rosenstein so badly he can hardly stand it.

But, he's afraid.

He's afraid that Mueller is just waiting for him to make such a move. He's afraid that Mueller may counter with a couple of indictments for his family members, and maybe even, a subpoena for him, also.

He is solely into self-preservation and survival.

Under any other circumstances, Rosenstein would already be gone. In my opinion, Trump believes he has the Senate Republicans under control and that he can make his move to get rid of Mueller and the Russia investigation any time he chooses.

The only thing preventing him from firing Rosenstein at this time is his fear of reciprocations from Robert Mueller, in my opinion.

But, he may feel that the threat is so close to him but that he has no other choice? He has to get them before they get him?
