Why did Trump change his mind about "de-classifying" the FISA documents??

...and all the documents pertaining to the Russia investigation that were created by Bruce Ohr?

The official explanation was that the "allies" had advised against releasing them. But, when they were initially released, with redactions, nobody asked the "allies" what they thought about it? So, this sounds a bit dubious.

But, coincidentally, the NYTimes hit piece on Rosenstein was released a day or so after the threat to "de-classify". It is unknown whether there is any connection?

Trump abruptly announced that he had changed his mind about de-classifying the documents and his supporters were puzzled and a bit perturbed with his decision. It didn't make sense to them?

It doesn't make sense to a lot of people? One wonders what the real reason was for the change in heart?

1. My guess is - someone finally read the damn thing & realized it isn't favorable to him at all.

It shows his actual treason and conspiracy so he shut it down until he can have someone figure out how to redact it to hide all real information about drumpf' & associates criminality and make it look like FBI & FISA screwed up, when it really says the opposite. Also Britain & Germany or Australia could have threatened to not share intelligence anymore and he wants this to give to PUtin? I really think it's the first reason and he's just using the other to placate his minions because he really doesn't care about GB or Germany and saving his ass is always priority #1.

It had to do with something that would would make him look bad, because as you stated, he doesn't care about anything else than himself.

likely contained transcripts of Trump's phone conversations and as well as others in his inner circle of Crooks.

Steele was dead nuts on with his dossier. Malcolm Nance has been dropping little nuggets of info about Trump and Intell Agencies data collection on his operation. Nance claims Trump became a Asset in 1984 as well as several of his Pals.

he doesn't give a crap about the rules, I think it's obvious someone read unredacted and saw they didn't say what they were hoping and likely back up the suspicions that page is a Russian stooge.

11. I think you're correct. Shades of the Nunes House Memo. They tried Rosenstein distraction instead.

Someone probably took a look at what the documents said for real and figured out it wasn't going to be the earth-shattering condemnation of the FBI they said it would be. That, in fact, the documents probably made the case FOR surveillance and showed no bias.

They decided not to repeat the ho-hum from the Nunes memo and they had the Rosenstein distraction to pull out. Fortunately, with Kavanaugh failing that distraction didn't live long in the news. I don't think it will end up giving Trump the go-ahead to fire Rosenstein now. They misplayed that one. Should have held it until after the mid-terms. If they'd have waited I think Trump would have been able to ride that to firing Rosenstein.

on our Intelligence Agencies and the Justice Department that internal whistle-blowers/leakers there will be encouraged to let it rip. I bet the IRS probably has some decades-long, interesting material on Trump too.

every time he starts huffing and puffing about releasing damning info not only did it leave him limping but a good chunk of his arse got bitten off.

he and his fellow criminals aren't very good at cherry picking it seems.

7. According to Rachel's recap, trump immediately folded when confronted by Rosenstein

Then the NYT stupidly provided cover for trump to fire Rosenstein. Coincidence? Not likely.

Only problem is, trump will have to explain to his acolytes why he's making personnel decisions based on an "anonymous source" from the "failing" New York Times. Then again, they'll probably be too stupid to notice.

having to tell blabbermouth trump top secret, need to know info in an effort to keep him from going forward with the release of these documents? Before you know it he is on the phone with Putin or tweeting, and the next round of poisonings and falling out of windows commence.
