Two older women, one looked about 65 and the other around 80, were discussing politics. The older of the two vehemently stated she didn't vote in 2016 because she was fed up with politicians. The younger one said, "People not voting is how we got tRump". The older woman gave a long pause and changed the subject.

It wasn't just younger people who were convinced not to vote. Also, nearly two years in those who did not vote still haven't realized the horror show they released on the country.

I don't like it, and I don't agree with it, but I understand.

The whole "gov't sucks" and "all politicians are crooked" memes are not new. They far pre-date the invention of the term meme.

it’s part of the Republicans overarching long term plan. Break the government and ignore the voters - pretty soon the disenfranchised voters will stay home and say “what’s the point of voting?”

Vote is the only solution.

4. Yes, and I will admit that even I did not feel like voting in 2016

I was convinced that Bernie was the best option and that the DNC had manipulated the votes to give the primary to HRC. I think it was my mother who said something like, "Well, don't vote then, and you'll end up letting that asshole tRump in the WH". That convinced me I should go ahead and vote.

I'm glad I did end up voting, and the aftermath taught me a thing or two about disinformation. What is interesting is that, here in CO, all voting is by mail. It's painless. Yet, there are still some who fell for the disinformation campaign and to this day feel like they did the right thing by not voting.
