https://www.politico.com/story/2018/09/23/kavanaugh-ford-lindsey-graham-837391Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday the testimony of Brett Kavanaughs accuser wont change his mind, no matter what she says.
You cant bring it in a criminal court, you would never sue civilly, you couldnt even get a warrant, Graham said on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. What am I supposed to do? Go ahead and ruin this guys life based on an accusation? I dont know when it happened, I dont know where it happened, and everybody named in regard to being there said it didnt happen.
Kavanaughs accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, has said Kavanaugh assaulted her at a party when they were both in high school. Therapists notes from 2012 reference an attempted assault by students from an elitist boys school who went on to become highly respected and high-ranking members of society in Washington. The notes did not name Kavanaugh (a graduate of Georgetown Prep), and other students have said they dont remember the party Ford described.
The Senate Judiciary Committee on Saturday tentatively agreed to a hearing with Ford this week after exchanges with her lawyer, but Graham said it wont change his vote absent additional information.
Not surprised at all about Graham. ALL the other Republicans are just like him. Murkowski might be salvageable only because of her need to maintain Native Alaskan support.

(63,221 posts)the story? Doesn't sound very fair and impartial to me. Spineless weasel. Is there one republican man that can ever be counted on to do the right thing for once?

(137 posts)Do you want them to change their minds by what they hear? I dont. Vote no, no matter what.

(4,656 posts)I wouldn't expect their decision to hinge solely on her testimony. So yes, vote no no matter what she says. We can only hope that some Repugs are swayed.

(31,889 posts)A juror who states his or her mind is already made up before a trial is over is grounds for a mistrial and removal of the judge. I thought Graham was a former JAG prosecutor. You'd think he would know this. But somehow, the Trump effect has made every last Republican's brains ooze out of a hole until their heads are completely empty.
Another thing that all of them are forgetting ..... Regardless of where their sympathies lie, it's the fact that Kavanaugh DENIED this ever happened. He has out and out lied about it. And that is another huge black mark against his integrity.

Also - you should disengage your lips from Spanky's ass ASAP as that is just not sanitary.
