moments catharsis as I've come to realize that I'm not alone and my experiences are (regrettably) shared by many women. It's a terrible sisterhood we all share. I am hopeful that the public airing of the flagrant sexual abuse of so many American women will result in changing the social mores and we can stop giving our attackers a free pass to ruin the lives of more women.

...but then I hear some hoary old Republican man speak on the subject of sexual abuse, and I despair.

But, I have been pissed off quite a few times. I have been angered at the treatment Dr. Ford has had to face. I have also been fucking mad as hell at those who have denigrated male victims by claiming how we are "more" believed than women. It IS NOT a goddamned fucking competition! Victims are victims, and so are survivors! I am a goddamned survivor! I won't let ANYONE make me feel less than for what happened to me because I am a man!

pissed off about men who think they can mistreat women and sweep it under the rug. I'm sickened by their thirst for power at the expense of ethics and decency.
