4. I find it curious that they find this anniversary so special to celebrate at this particular time.

I don't recall them bringing up the 20th anniversary of Nixon's resignation.

Gee, I am sure no one is trying to imply that both parties are the same.

So far she's come away with intense disgust for Linda Tripp, Starr, and the FBI. Since I've read the Starr Report, I doubt there's anything in the podcast I haven't heard before. I already know the dynamics of the scandal ( I've read way too much about it)

You're right it's a scandal that continues to be milked for all its worth. For a time, it felt like some male writers, in particular, used Bill as a proxy to attack feminists. And at times, reliving the scandal has proven convenient just when allegations of sexual harassment afflicted writers at certain media houses. Also, some on the left never miss the chance to relive a Clinton Scandal so your general cynicism about why now isn't unfounded.

I acknowledge the opportunism of it, but can't deny its value based on what my friend told me. She was surprised at how the affair started in the first place, didn't know all the facts. She also didn't know the determined effort behind the scenes to bring down the Clinton presidency. So for that alone, I can't hate on it too much.

It's possible it overstates some things and glosses over others. From all my reading about that time, the Diane Blair papers offered me the best insight into Hillary's perspective ( Did I say I read too much about this already? Lol ) so right now I'm tired hearing about it all. If it debunks myths floating around then it's okay I guess.

It was very toxic. They were almost addicted to each other. I saw something similar with co-workers of mine. They developed this intense emotional relationship and could not be separated from each other.

men abusing their (white male privilege) positions that this country did not really acknowledge in 1998. It speaks to FBI investigations, special prosecutors as we are involved in today and how fairly or perhaps, unfairly they are conducted due to bias against women, also Republican bias against (Hillary and the) Democrats ("RW vast conspiracy) etc.

It is refreshing to review history as the results are open for review instead of now, where we don't know what will happen.

Also, many people don't know what happened, or have forgotten; I learned quite a bit.

Yes, new hatred for Linda Tripp. She is interviewed and recollects the past events and excuses her betrayal as somehow noble, when in fact, she hated the Clintons, and self-righteously enjoyed the destruction of Monica.

12. Agreed. The Clinton investigations are often cited as the reason why Conservatives support Trump.

It's important to lay out the vast differences between the Nixon, Clinton, and now Trump investigations and the possible future impeachment of Trump.

What Nixon and Trump did is illegal. What Clinton did was unethical. That's a huge difference. Clinton did not coerce Monica. Their affair, although imbalanced, was consensual.
