immediately publicizing Dr. Blasey-Ford's letter last summer amounts to "To hell with integrity!" To these critics, DiFi's pledge of confidentiality to this vulnerable woman is totally irrelevant. That attitude defines the Republican party and is just one of the reasons I am proud to say that I am a Democrat.

I don't know what if any private conversations occurred, but it is very difficult to imagine an investigation based on an anonymous accusation. Part of me wonders whether anyone shared that with her. Would she have identified herself?
I guess we will never know
