2. I concur.

And I'm disgusted by the media reporting that it's an established fact that Rosenstein was serious about the comments when that's not supported by the people at the meeting.

7. and it doesn't even make sense. no lawyer seriously talks about the 25th amendment

for a president that's not in a coma or nearly universally seen as clearly incapacitated.

it's harder to get the votes for that than for impeachment, so it makes zero sense to even talk about it.

33. Yes, I tend to take your view. Trump wants the NYT to fail so badly.

He's entirely capable of planting a story as a diversion, but even if the NYT took the bait, I'm not going to stop reading it.

The Times were also cheerleaders on the Whitewater BS against the Clintons.

23. CNN confirmed the story the same day NY Times printed it

Maybe because it's true? The story seems very plausible to me because Trump is nuts. Who wouldn't float those ideas especially with a front row seat of Trump. He's crazy.

27. Say what?

Confirmed it how?. By ignoring Rosenstein's denial and the other people in the room who said it was a sarcastic quip directed at McCabe?.

29. NY Times included Rosenstein's denial in it

Including a source that claimed it was sarcastic.

Mr. Rosenstein disputed this account.

“The New York Times’s story is inaccurate and factually incorrect,” he said in a statement. “I will not further comment on a story based on anonymous sources who are obviously biased against the department and are advancing their own personal agenda. But let me be clear about this: Based on my personal dealings with the president, there is no basis to invoke the 25th Amendment.”

-----

A Justice Department spokeswoman also provided a statement from a person who was present when Mr. Rosenstein proposed wearing a wire. The person, who would not be named, acknowledged the remark but said Mr. Rosenstein made it sarcastically.

32. I misunderstood your post perhaps.

I read it as CNN confirmed that Rosenstein seriously had conversations about trying to 25th trump.

My problem with much of the reporting is that it is saying it's an established fact that Rosenstein was serious while omitting the denials.

I am glad someone has the balls to voice these thoughts, to speak truth to
