Detroit police officer fired over racially-charged Snapchat

The Detroit Police Department on Monday said that it had fired an officer and begun an investigation into his behavior after he posted a racially-charged Snapchat.

"He will no longer be a Detroit police officer," Detroit Police chief James Craig said Monday of officer Sean Bostwick.

Bostwick posted a photo of himself right before he began his shift Sunday with the caption, "Another night to Rangel (sic) up these zoo animals," the Detroit Free Press reports.

Sean Bostwick "expressed remorse" for posting the photo and said it was misinterpreted.

Had right or wrong police defenders I think Michael Brown was their last stand strangely they defended Zimmerman who wasn't law enforcement. The poster had a soccer ball logo can't remember her name. I think it was Brewman Jax or something like that I can't quite remember.

10. Body cams have exposed a lot of crony LEO activities.

Interestingly, if the police do some crap, and they don't immediately release the video, you know it probably doesn't prove their side of the story.

They will sit on a video until FOIAs come through for weeks if not months to "distance themselves" from the incident, that way the court of public opinion can't do anything about it.
