Though I think it's a simple math problem: Two solid allegations of sexual assault = anomaly. Six allegations of sexual "misconduct", including three anonymous ones = proof.

Let's call it Gillibrand's Theory of Cumulative Discomfort for the time being...

I don't think my "point" was vague, but here's a bit more specificity: Several posters here - ones who gleefully jumped on the Dump Franken train - are now advancing a hyperbolic scenario that suggests Avenatti is making "the Democrats" uncomfortable. They were perfectly fine with spurious allegations from anonymous Franken accusers, but are now having second thoughts about jumping the gun, as it were.

I sense a bit of situational ethics at play.
