Is that, despite Der Pilzschwanz's ranting and raving and fussing and fuming and whining and insulting of everyone on Earth who he feels has wronged (or merely exposed) him, he has avoided Avenatti like the PLAGUE. He is dead silent on the subject. No cute nicknames or monikers, no "unfair" or "incredibly dishonest"... Just nothing.
It's as if, like Batman, Avenatti strikes true fear into the cockles of his LDL-congested heart, and I love that.

(7,380 posts)as long as he remains a thorn in the sides of Trump, Giuliani, and Repubs in general, I'm all for it.
Whatever aspiring political ambitions he may have will be sorted out in time. Right now I enjoy his bulldog attitude.

(5,267 posts)so that she got an Anderson Cooper interview, a book deal while Cohen and Trump folded after Cohen's shady dealings got exposed and Trump's lies and complicity was captured on tape.
Seems good that Avenatti has let Ms. Ramirez and the New Yorker and other witnesses' stories get coverage yesterday and the Cosby sentencing today before his client drops bomb to provide maximum support before Dr. Ford's Senate testimony.

(3,259 posts)No matter what Avenatti does when it comes to Trump he will be referenced as Stormy's lawyer. Trump really seems to struggle with that.

(180 posts)Like all bullies, he goes after the easy targets he thinks he can sway. But El Trumpo knows Avenotti has the goods, and can (and is) dropping a house on his head every time Don the Con tweets stupid. Even an ignoramus like Trump knows not to stick his pilzschwantz into a bear trap.

(58,785 posts)Fact is, Republicans feel pretty secure about keeping control of the senate right now, despite Kavanaugh. They just have to keep their base happy enough to turn out to vote by pushing Kavanaugh through. And Trump is undoubtedly being told they will.
Of course, it's hugely probable that these stories would continue to come out after Kavanaugh was confirmed, but the most immediate huge danger to Republicans is that the base could become angry and stay home. Senate Repubs are choosing GOTV to save their own asses.
And that means their strategy at this point is to steamroll and vote their probable majority right over anything Avenatti might produce. And they are telling Trump they will succeed.

(10,811 posts)Trump goes after everyone, even when the slight is minor. But after all the interviews and tweets where Avenatti has called the Trumpster and his mob-tied friends out?
Crickets.
Maybe it's because the Trumpster recognizes that Avenatti knows how to manipulate the press, command the spotlight and basically beat Trump at his own wicked game.
The silence is very odd.
Unless, of course, we're being played. I don't really believe that but I'm at the point where everything is highly questionable and needs to be proven without a doubt.
Because we're living in Crazyland.
