3. Did I understand that Dr. Ford won't even appear in front of the Senators? Just a one-on-one

with their appointed representative, lawyer?

If so, there is no semblance of true testimony and no validity to the results that said lawyer might bring back.

Perhaps I misunderstood (I'm really good at that!)

then I would like to see it done on national television where she would have a chance to lay her story out for everyone without interference from GOP members of the committee. I predict the actual hearing will be a shameful spectacle.

6. She has a Constitutional right to petition the Government for redress.

"The right to petition is protected by the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights.
In the United States the right to petition is guaranteed by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, which specifically prohibits Congress from abridging "the right of the people...to petition the Government for a redress of grievances".

Ford has a right to ask the actual governmental body of elected officials to solve a problem, and they agreed. The Senate cannot shirk their Constitutional obligations and deny her petition by farming out their duties to a non-governmental facsimile to avoid making a decision that might make them looks like the idiots and fools that that really are.

But I think she'll answer the Puke's inquisitor. She's a very smart woman and knows how to present the facts without panicking.

If the nasty old rapepologists can’t do the questioning of Dr Ford then they are abdicating their responsibilities and no vote should be taken if they can’t do their job, no matter how bad it looks.
