Women better get ready for men to choose their fate with the GOP agenda. If anyone watches the series Poldark they would find that women were essentially men's property. A parent or a man of class could dictate the fate of their servant or offspring if they were a women. Women could not vote and they were totally in control of men. Rape was ok. And you had to marry a man chosen for you no matte what if you were a servant or of the wrong class. Even if you were a woman of class the man held your fate. You had no right to say no and had to have whatever children that came along. You were a servant of men and had to have sex on demand. You could not own or inherit property. YOUR ONLY CHOICE WAS TO FIND A MAN TO SUPPORT YOU.
In Kavanaugh's and the GOP's world women do not have any value except as a sex machine on demand. This appointments what it is all about for women moving forward. Going back to the time of the 18th century and before.

(81,220 posts)I HEARD one of them voicing the aggrieved dude complaint: "this country started going downhill when women got the right to vote."
I HEARD it with my own ears. I'll never forget it. That opinion is out there, nurtured by the trump effect. Bigly.

(7,820 posts)Is when (in what was a fairly modern US) the Government freezes the assets, debit/credit cards, etc for all women- transferring control to their closest male relative. This is not about sex or procreation so much as its about control. That includes all aspects of womens lives. And Conservatives are not kidding when they grumble about everything going to shit when women got the right to vote.
