1. Oh, hell, no. The Dems on the Judiciary Committee are more than capable

of handling the hearing themselves. All but Feinstein are lawyers and four are former prosecutors - including Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar. I'd put either of them up against Avenatti any day.

might like to run for President in 2020, why would they give a national camera platform to someone else who has expressed desire to be the Democratic nominee?

3. If Dr. Ford has to answer questions to an unknown female lawyer, I see no reason why

Mr. Avenatti shouldn't ask questions of Kavanaugh. Pertinent and to the point questions, fair is fair.

4. Like I said above - we already have people who are more than capable of doing just that,

and, unlike Avenatti, also have actually had experience questioning witnesses in Senate hearings. Former prosecutor Kamala Harris could eat the lunch of anybody in that room, probably even including Avenatti.

7. It is obvious you're not a fan of Mr. Avanetti but I do think he is quite capable of questioning

witnesses in a Senate hearing. Ms. Harris is quite accomplished but I see no reason to expect she would "eat his lunch." I think your bias is showing.

8. My point is simply that since we already have senators who can do the job

more than capably and have experience doing it (and are women, which helps the "optics" ), why not have them do it? After all, it's their job. It's not normal to bring in an outside counsel to do this; the only reason the GOPers are doing it is that they don't like the optics of old white men (which is all they have) interrogating the victim of sexual abuse. They should be doing their jobs. It has nothing to do with Avenatti and everything to do with our excellent senators.

10. Absolutely. It's already more of a circus than it should have been.

All the questioning should be done by members of the panel.

Why bypass Harris, Klobuchar, Booker, Hirono to bring in someone else?

We have strong, solid Democrats on Judiciary. Why bring in someone else?
