(10,133 posts)There are some real, recent reasons why K. shouldn't be on the Supreme Court, one of which is his recent treatment of a young woman in federal custody who wanted -as is her right - an abortion. His dissent (fortunately the other judges overruled him) was, according to the Washington Post, his audition as an anti-abortion potential Supreme Court vote.
Then there's his long career as a political activist, his advocacy of torture, his role in the Clinton impeachment - and, of course, his finances. I think there's plenty in his past to show he's not fit, but if it's his "youthful indiscretions" that will get him bounced I'll take that.

(38,472 posts)Because that would make me feel really gullible. It would also make those women bad people. I agree that attention has been shifted away from those very important issues, but I don't think it's purposeful deflection. I think it's opportunistic, and I feel the hand of Trumpy himself at work.
Just used as deflection by GOP/Kavanaugh
