I understand "female" and "assistant", but I'm wondering: Is this referencing a female human? Or will the republican senators be assisted by a female beagle? Perhaps a female cat has been trained to fetch memos?

Has McConnell ever heard the word, "woman"?

On the other hand, if they hired an attorney to question Dr. Ford, the only reason to indicate gender is because the old, pale republicans think it scores them points.
