A “Republicans on Rape” graphic widely circulated online since 2014 collects various comments about that crime supposedly made by GOP politicians in recent years:

“Rape is kinda like the weather. If it’s inevitable, relax and enjoy it.”

On 24 March 1990, Texas oilman Clayton Williams, the Republican nominee in the Lone Star State’s upcoming gubernatorial election, was preparing for a cattle roundup at his West Texas ranch while undesirable weather conditions threatened to spoil the event. As he sat around a campfire with ranch hands, campaign workers, and reporters, Williams likened that day’s cold, foggy weather to rape, saying, “If it’s inevitable, just relax and enjoy it.”

Later that day Williams asserted that his comment had been a joke, and a few days later his campaign offered an apologetic statement about it:

These are the men that have prejudged Dr Christine Ford. She is a liar and if it did happen 'boys will be boys.' “she’s just a confused girl”. "a case of teenage horseplay gone awry — an innocent misunderstanding, if you will".

“In the very near future, Judge Kavanaugh will be on the United States Supreme Court,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Friday. “We’re going to plow right through it,” he said. Though Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) has tried to appear more reasonable, his chief counsel for nominations tweeted on Wednesday: “Unfazed and determined. We will confirm Judge Kavanaugh.”

Republican senators have called Ms. Ford’s public accusations a “drive-by shooting” and a “little hiccup.” “I’m tired of all these made-up scandals,

“What am I supposed to do? Go ahead and ruin this guy’s life, based on an accusation—I don’t know when it happened, I don’t know where it happened, and everybody named in regard to being there said it didn’t happen,” Graham said. “I’m just being honest. Unless there’s something more, no, I’m not going to ruin Judge Kavanaugh’s life over this.”

The Greedy Old Perverts have made it clear that they do not care what crimes Kavanaugh has committed nor how unfit he is for the Judiciary. They will confirm him because he will decide in their favor.

GOTV or find a more civilized country to live in.

They don't give a rats ass what he did to women. First because they hate and disrespect women as much as Kav does. Second he will 100% protect them from the laws of the land vs the American people no matter the case.

Fact.

My hope is that the midterms will result in a House of Representatives that more closely represents the population of the country. Women have set records heading for the November ballot. Maybe the old boys club is about to break up.

It is unconscionable that the gang in power defends the assaulter every time. They only crawfish when public outcry forces them to face the possibility of losing power.
