The Fox News interview shows that Kavanaugh is receiving poor legal advice.

Denying an allegation is one thing. It is expected, most people accused of a crime or inappropriate behavior will deny an accusation.

It is an entirely another matter to deny WHO YOU WHERE. Brett Kavanaugh is not only attempting to rewrite history, he is trying to rewrite who he was as a person.

I think it is more likely than not that lawyers and advisers in The White House pushed this approach. They are stuck in The White House bubble, not thinking about how others read this, and they made a major miscalculation. The "I was a choir boy" reinvention makes Kavanaugh look like a fraud and a liar.

Kavanaugh would have helped his credibility greatly if he had stated that he was indeed a complete jerk in high school and was a heavy drinker in college. He would have helped himself by apologizing for the cruel comments on his yearbook page that disparaged an innocent girl. He could have said to this person, now a middle aged woman who just learned of this, that he is sorry. He missed an opportunity to say that he has grown and matured and that looking back on his behavior in his teens and college years is appalling, including to him.

His failure to be able to own his own character and behavior is evidence that he has not changed in all the years since these early years. Brett Kavanaugh is an immature man, spoiled and coddled, entitled and smug. There are men who never stop being boys, regardless of their education or professional achievements. Brett Kavanaugh is one of them.

who has his own problems with sex assault. All these numbskulls adhere to the theory that deny deny deny is the only way to go. Unless you can pay off your accuser. The women so far do not seem amenable to payoffs.

Colbert made mincemeat of that "interview" last night. Kav is now as big a laughingstock as Trump was at the UN.

''Cause he's better than the rest,
And his own sweat smells the best,
And he hopes to grab his fathers loot,
When pater passes on.

Cause he's oh, so good,
And he's oh, so fine,
And he's oh, so healthy,
In his body and his mind.
He's a well respected man about town,
Doing the best things so conservatively.

And he plays at stocks and shares,
And he goes to the regatta,
And he adores the girl next door,
Cause he's dying to get at her,
But his mother knows the best about
The matrimonial stakes.

Cause he's oh, so good,
And he's oh, so fine,
And he's oh, so healthy,
In his body and his mind.
He's a well respected man about town,
Doing the best things so conservatively. ''

in high school or early college to destroy this pathetic lie?

In fact, if he actually was a virgin in high school, his bragging yearbook entry makes him look like an incredibly pathetic loser. Pretending that he'd had sex with all those women, pretending he just used girls for sex callously, pretending he had had sex with one girl named specifically. But in actuality he was a pious virgin.

Also, the drinking age was NOT 18 as he claimed. That's an easily provable lie.

truthtellers don't worry about some gray. They just tell the truth, and given that we are all flawed people, all of our truths have some gray in them.

Liars are so worried about you believing them, they cannot have a speck of gray. It has to be lily white. They think that by the force of their purity you will believe them.

So they aren't just a light drinker, they haven't touched a drop in their lives.
They aren't just not a violent person, they never got into a fight ever, even as a kid.

That's what Kavanaugh did in that interview...lying about the drinking age, about how much/often he drank, about being a virgin (and even if he was it's irrelevant, but he believes that confers some sort of virtue upon him so he says it).
