Best move would have been if Avenatti and his client

had appeared at the applicable office of the applicable law enforcement and file a complaint against Kavanaugh just prior to the start of the hearing. Then Avenatti could make a public statement as to what they did so that the Diane Feinstein could include that tidbit in her opening remarks. Then let the bomb go off. That would have totally thrown Kavenaugh and the Rethugs off of any game plan this morning.

He should have put as much legal strength behind his client as possible.
He will be ignored by the Grassley Committee.
