But your objections really need to be addressed to the folks who authored this kabuki theater: The Republicans of the Senate Judiciary Committee. They set the rules, they set the time, they set the rush, they set up everything at this hearing. At one point, Sen. Grassley was scolding Dr. Ford about taking up too much time with her answers.

Her response was gracious in tone, which wouldn't have been me. I would have responded that I was interested in telling the truth, nothing but the truth, and the WHOLE truth. Sometimes the whole truth requires a bit of time, and what's your hurry anyway, Senator? Is there something more important than this that you need to attend to? I can come back at a time that's more convenient if you've got something pressing to do. Have your people call my people. The latter part of October is pretty clear on my calendar. Early December is good, too, but it's filling up fast.

I like the format. The stupid repugs thought limiting the Dem senators to only five minutes each would limit their effectiveness, but they somehow didn't get that the five minutes on and five minutes off would totally diminish the effectiveness of their hired gun prosecutor.
