Also repeating the same self-serving talking points - e.g. "I was at the top of my class!" - over and over when such points are completely irrelevant to the question posed.

I was a court reporter for over thirty years - it's an easily recognizable tactic when someone is lying.

They are blind. I think it was Rosie O’Donnell who was talking about another issue years ago and whether she thought an investigation should be opened. She said something like: I didn’t do it. Search my house. Search my car. Talk to everyone. But the last two sentences were definitely, “Take a Pap smear. Didn’t do it!” (To be clear, she was talking about someone else, not herself.) Dr. Ford has done everything short of the pap, and he can’t give a straight yes or no.

And Kavanaugh saying no, lying about everything (never blacked out! Bart O'Kavanaugh isn't him!), is all they need.

The repugs simply made speeches so Brett didn't have to talk (nobody wants to hear him).

When Dems asked questions, Brett filibustered without answering.

Scripted farce.

If I could get the FBI to look into anything, it would be how he sobered up. Was there an accident? Caught with a substance? I'm sure his mother could get him off of anything that came up...and maybe it did.

She was shifted aside by the Republicans as soon as they saw she was going show Brett the liar he is.

Brett's talking back to the senators and refusing to answer simple yes and no questions convinced me he is very sorry for his school years.....not for hurting anyone, but for fucking up his chances for the SC.

Cute for an 8-year-old who was honest enough to tell the truth he was not telling the truth. Not for an old blowhard Senator.
