I still don't understand why Kavenaugh

Is lying about binge drinking. We all know he did it. Hell, unless you really are a saint or teatotaller, we all have had one too many. I mean I realize that he is trying to say he would totally remember sexually assaulting Blasey Ford but come on. Total bullshit.

If the FBI investigated the allegation, they would definitely find out that he's been a heavy drinker.

It's obvious that he's been a heavy drinker. He really can't credibly deny the allegation.
