it almost looks like those impromptu shrines that people set up with flowers when someone has died there at that spot...

It reminded me of the phrase "thoughts and prayers" that is used to placate a mass shooting.

Democrats need to keep fighting, take it to the next level. I thought they were too civil with Kavanaugh. I bet if they asked more point blank questions they would have gotten him into another rage, like his opening remarks.
You can't pet a scorpion to stop it from stinging you, you have to put the boot to it.

Maryland needs to pursue the sexual assault case
And prosecute Kavanaugh. Then impeach him in Congress. The Republicans can put trash in government
and the Democrats can take it out.
