Avenatti: Swetnick will take her story directly to the American people this weekend.

"Because @realDonaldTrump and the Senate Republicans refuse to allow my client Julie Swetnick to testify, we will be taking her story directly to the American people this weekend. This is about a search for the truth. Details to follow."

1. When's the earliest the entire Senate can vote on confirmation? Story needs to come out before then.

23. Here's how it works

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2018/09/27/brett-kavanaugh-final-vote-supreme-court-nominee-could-tuesday/1436385002/

If the committee approves the nomination, or if the nomination is sent to the floor by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, without a recommendation, McConnell could make a motion on Saturday to end debate.

Unless there is unanimous consent to waive the rules, McConnell, R-Ky., would have to wait until Monday at the earliest for a vote on that motion.

...The rules say at least 30 hours must pass after the procedural motion passes. That means if the motion to end debate were held early Monday, the final vote could come late in the day Tuesday.

these are senate rules. they could first vote to suspend the rules, and immediately vote.

31. If we're talking the mid-1980s, that would be a VHS camera, which were pretty large.

.

As large as today's 4K cinematography movie cameras.

Absent a pending criminal investigation, I doubt TV appearances can slow this down. But I wish Avenatti & Swetnick all the success in the world.

14. So why isn't Avenatti taking this to the Montgomery PD?

This would virtually guarantee a pause in the vote, so one has to wonder why he's not pushing his client to file a criminal complaint?

16. Because they would be laughed out

of the courtroom. That's why. No jurisdiction in this country would take such a complaint seriously.

15. As badly as I know I will feel if (when) Kavanaugh is confirmed..

I can't even BEGIN to imagine how Dr. Ford, Ms. Ramirez and Ms. Swetnick will all feel if (when) it happens. I honestly can't.

They are putting themselves out there (and having their lives upended by the "compassionate conservatives", but it might turn out to be no more than yelling into the abyss (which may be even worse than not coming forward at all, since at that point they still could believe that the Senate would care). I'm at a loss for words, it's absolutely sickening.
