(115,674 posts)he made some kind of deal with Trump that in return for being appointed AG after Sessions is fired, he'd kill the Russian investigation. And if he didn't agree to become AG after Sessions is fired, some kompromat would be revealed that would make even being a Senator untenable. Maybe my tinfoil hat is too tight but there's something really fishy about Graham's 180-degree turn.

(82,849 posts)Brett Kavanaugh was one of the elves on the Arkansas Project (along with Ann Coulter and David Brock among others) and Lindsey Graham was one of the House Managers who argued the case against Bill Clinton in the Senate trial. Then-Rep. Graham didn't get even a majority vote on any of the charges he brought to the Senate, let alone the two-thirds vote necessary for conviction. Boosting Kavanaugh three stations higher than he deserves takes some of the sting out of one of the great failures of Graham's career.
