(128,851 posts)to include/research additional info. I suppose Drumpf could order the DOJ not to comply but then that may mean his nominee doesn't get confirmed because Senators from his party will not proceed unless this is done.
This is not something "separate" as an "investigation" (just as a sidenote).

(3,259 posts)I also think Grassley has the power to request a new investigation into the new information. It is my understanding that reopening the background check is the quickest and easiest way to go, minus the Trump side of the equation.
