(229 posts)wrong. Without Kavanaugh seated to hear Gamble, he is of no use to Trump. I believe we won.

(9,874 posts)The majority of the court could order the case be re-argued. I believe it has been done before.

(4,267 posts)I don't watch the news. Only watch Rachel and Lawrence when time permits.
I'm seeing a lot of awww, the Reps might have a conscience after all, Flake is proving me wrong, etc etc type of posts and tweets right now.
Dems are sooo nice. I'll give Flake props when the FBI investigation actually happens, when he votes against Kakanaugh, and when he votes against additional tax breaks/taking money from SS and medicare.
Until then, will never trust him or any of his colleagues. #WeNeverLearn

(5,223 posts)the way she wouldn't let Stephanie Rule and Ali Velshi talk til she was finished. Basically shushed them because her thoughts were more important.

(2,897 posts)I think Flake wants to confirm Kav, but knows that with this heat and pressure, Collins and Murkowski are going to vote no. With next to no red state dems (Manchin is on the fence aka he's not going to be the deciding vote), it's either let it die on the floor or find some way to placate Collins/Murkowski. This does that while allowing for a cooling period that makes it easier to say yes regardless of what the FBI concludes.
