If Sen. Flake is withholding his vote until a limited FBI investigation is complete andknowing tRumps distaste for all things FBI, knowing also that tRump may not approve the investigation,
would the lack of the investigation and Sen. Flake's subsequent no vote on the floor, give Sen. Flake future political "cover" by allowing him to justify his "no" vote?
So is Flake playing chess with his own political future?

Dog Catcher at this point in Arizona. The GOP Arizona cut that cord two years ago. He will land on his feet with a multi million dollar job in Mesa by New Years Eve.

Perhaps somebody in his camp came up with this as a prickly, calculated move. He could vote either way and it likely wouldn't change any future aspiration especially on the national level.
Like I said, I'm just throwing darts.
I've been fed up the last two years, now the last two weeks. Who knows how this is going to turn out?
