A week is a loooooonnnngggg time in the trump era. There are lots of squirrels and flying saucers to detract.

If they can find another party hack for the position to insulate trump from his crimes they will jump on it.

I can't believe Trump would OK this unless either A) he can somehow shape the investigation to avoid damning evidence, or B) some big shit has come up about Kav and he wants to land on the right side of it by looking like he's interested in the truth.
