The way he took every opportunity to talk about the trappings of his wealthy upbringing.Yale, Georgetown Prep, beach houses. He couldnt stop.

When you are asked a specific question and your immediate - and totally irrelevant - response is about how you were at the top of your class three decades ago, you're not exactly coming across as straightforward and honest.
Kavanaugh's performance yesterday was a disaster - and despite their protestations to the contrary, the Republicans know that.

(63,221 posts)Because honestly, he really doesn't seem all that smart to me. And I saw his house. He really didn't seem all that rich to me either. I think Brett is suffering from a little insecurity problem. Seems like whatever he got, he cheated or weaseled his way into. There is really very little that is exceptional about him except his ability to lie, cheat and steal. Oh, and abuse helpless women. And get pissing drunk.
