... his penchant for responding to questions with self-serving talking points.

When you are asked a specific question and your immediate - and totally irrelevant - response is about how you were at the top of your class three decades ago, you're not exactly coming across as straightforward and honest.

Kavanaugh's performance yesterday was a disaster - and despite their protestations to the contrary, the Republicans know that.

Because honestly, he really doesn't seem all that smart to me. And I saw his house. He really didn't seem all that rich to me either. I think Brett is suffering from a little insecurity problem. Seems like whatever he got, he cheated or weaseled his way into. There is really very little that is exceptional about him except his ability to lie, cheat and steal. Oh, and abuse helpless women. And get pissing drunk.

(Not those ACTUAL guys, but their analogues from my high school and college years) and that is their modus operandi: brag about "The Club," brag about how rich their daddies are, brag about their cool cars, brag about how many "chicks they've bagged," brag about how much they drink, brag, brag, brag...

Mom said I'm a catch. She wants this for me sooooooo bad.
She paid for aaaall this, so now it's time to get mine.
Just punch my card, and give me the robe.
You owe me.
