One of our local voting commissioners just showed up on my local news.
She's telling people to check their voter registrations as applications are being rejected and of course snail mail is being used as the method of letting people know.

With the voter registration deadline coming in around 11 days in Florida, I checked my registration status online. It took about 2-3 minutes tops. If something was wrong, I still had time to fix it.
The stuff about "they are playing trick, they are coming to get us" gives people cover for not practicing simple decipline as a voter.

I just Googled: Voter registration status Oregon.
I was taken to a site that told me the following:
Voter Status:
Active
Your voter registration is current and a ballot will be issued for the next election.
County:
Clackamas County
Party:
Democratic Party
My Ballot:
November 6, 2018 General Election
A ballot will be sent to the following address:
Good old Oregon -- we get to vote by mail.
