The girl was sitting behind him.
Are there still House and Senate pages? I thought that program had been eliminated.
In the video in which Flake and his staffers have been waylaid, they are in a private elevator, designated for use only by senators and their staff.

But looking into it a little more, a page would not have been allowed to carry a cell phone while on the job.
