Judges can’t be attorneys.

Most judges used to be attorneys, and that is the norm. But they quit being an attorney when they became judges. Most probably keep their licenses current, but they don’t need a law license to be a judge. That would be absurd, for a state licensing authority to have veto power over federal judges.

All of the justices have been lawyers but technically that's not required. And since judges don't practice law (they don't represent clients), they wouldn't need a current law license anyhow.

Several have been foreign born.
Theoretically, a 16 year old High School student could be appointed.

that doesn't mean that if is found to have lied under oath that he should not be removed from the bench and from that time forward barred from returning to a law practice. I do believe that evidence of perjury would prevent any future licensing, but I'm not well-versed in those specific requirements.
