"well, the FBI investigation didn't find any evidence of sexual assault." But what about the lying over his explanation of "boofing", "ralphing" etc. Or isn't that a big enough lie under oath? Kind of like Christians like to say a sin, is a sin, is a sin. But we all know there are sins they think are worse than others. Homosexuality but not adultery. That kind of thing.

6. Limited investigation that clears Kavanaugh is our worst outcome

GOP won't define it as limited. They'll scream from every rooftop that it is proof that Democrats wasted time and shamelessly tried to taint an innocent man and great American.

Given that outcome we would have been far better off if Republicans had forced through a confirmation amidst public outcry. We would have been on the offensive heading to November instead of the defensive if Kavanaugh is cleared/confirmed.

Never underestimate the power of the bottom line. Hillary may have been screwed but now her approval rating has tanked. Dr. Ford gave tremendous and obviously truthful testimony but within a week if Kavanaugh is cleared by the FBI and then confirmed, opinion of Dr. Ford will plummet also and she will be viewed as a partisan hack.

Deny all you want. That's how it will play out.

We desperately need something to surface in this FBI investigation. I don't see how it happens unless Judge grows conscience.

7. Maybe some investigative journalists can do something

Why doesn't Michael Schmidt from the NYT go find when Judge worked at the Safeway or find some corroborating witnesses to something - instead of printing stories giving Trump a reason to fire Rosenstein. You know, do something good for the country instead of the opposite.
