You weren't doing anything wrong. I need to lighten up.

But I gotta tell you: This whole episode has me concerned. I'm having a hard time sleeping at night. I don't get paid to watch TV at work, but I did have my headphones on. I was able to catch snippets of Kavanaugh's meltdown.

Regardless of Kavanaugh's bizarre rant, and regardless of the upcoming whitewash of an "investigation," there are still some two score and ten senators dedicated to the proposition that Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed, come hell or high water. My take on that it is that is a certain hell that we will find ourselves in.

Imagine that you had broken down in the middle of a job interview, started crying, rambled on about how much you liked drinking, and asked one of your interviewers if she had ever experienced a blackout from drinking to excess. You wouldn't be hired to run a Dairy Queen. None of that matters in this case. I expect a confirmation. Odds are that by this time next week Judge Kavanaugh will be Justice Kavanaugh.

I'll try to calm down, but if this isn't the time for alarm, then it never is. I'm pretty sure that we're on the same side in this struggle.
