What I 'd like to hear any Democratic Senator say

If you're planning to vote for Kavanaugh after he lied about receiving stuff from the Democratic Party, please stop calling us your friends. Friends don't vote for people who lie under oath.

The Senate aspires to be a deliberative body. Cranky, creaky, slowly, - in this instance. However, note the Senator from Minnesota saying later on Friday, ''we're better off now, than we were at 8a this morning.''

[Btw, suspect it takes a very, very, very, long time for a certain Senator from Utah, to poop or get off the potty].

... brought that error to my attention.

Thanks for the correction...

The phrase get down to brass tacks (not brass tax) is an Americanism dating from the 19th century. In the idiom, brass tacks means (1) the essentials, or (2) the basic facts, so to get down to brass tacks is to focus on the essentials. The phrase's exact derivation is unknown, though there are a few theories.Nov 2, 2015

Anyone who would vote for him is already corrupted by power and greed.
