Who's going to confirm it? His wife? Nope.

Amy Goodman had a shrink on today that said he had Rosacea, so that could indicate he is.

I have Rosacea. I'm not an alcoholic.

He's bad enough without this speculation.

He very carefully avoided the issue of drinking anything stronger than beer. And alcoholics in general figure they can't be drunks if all they drink is beer. So yeah, he's an alcoholic. His entire rage-filled affect screamed it.

of a halfway/recovery house. Your first question is can an addict still do work at a high level. Answer is yes seen it many times. Often that is the self test they give themselves as rationalization. That display was like an unwanted intervention. I've also seen that many times. Family or friends try to show an addict what they have become. Anger, lashing out and paranoia if subject is not ready to hear.

11. I prefer the term "problem drinker" in this case

We have an issue with the word "alcoholic."

None of us have given Kavanaugh the thorough physical and addiction workup we need to perform to declare him Addicted to Alcohol.

The best we can do, without coming out looking like Catkiller Frist diagnosing Terri Schiavo from a video, is to declare him a Problem Drinker...and son, that boy has a serious drinking problem. He drinks frequently, drinks to excess when he drinks at all, and he's a mean drunk.

The worst part of this whole sordid episode is our supposed president believes this drunken frat boy is the most suitable person in America for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.

13. Like Kavanaugh I drank to much during my teens and early twenties. ...

I even blacked out a couple of times but in those cases bourbon or rum was involved. I stopped drinking hard liquor in my mid twenties but I continued to drink at least a six pack of beer a day for the next four decades.

I never was arrested while drunk or sober. My drinking had no effect on my job or work habits. My doctor considers me to be in very good health with the exception of back and hip problems. I never sexually abused anyone and never was involved in a bar room brawl.

I retired and eventually decided it would be a good idea to lose twenty pounds as I am a candidate for a hip replacement and have degenerative disk disease. Quitting my lifelong habit of drinking beer was not difficult in the least. No classes or visits to a councilor. I don’t believe I have had anything alcoholic to drink in the last year and only a few beers in the last five years. I did lose the twenty pounds I wished.

As I understand it alcoholism or alcohol use disorder is a disease.

I have no idea if Kavanaugh has problems with alcohol or not. However the mere fact that he drank too much beer in high school and college and still enjoys beer does not prove to me that he is an alcoholic.

But he's definitely a guy who drinks and cannot hold his liquor. Some folks lose their minds and get violent and aggressive when they drink... I think its a different thing than being an alcoholic. It's some sort of bad reaction that you have to alcohol. I don't think it necessarily has to do with addiction, I think it has to do with something else in your psyche that comes out when alcohol removes your social taboos.

He had 40 years until he got married. Is it possible that he stopped drinking or greatly reduced his drinking at the behest of the Federalist Society and the Koch brothers. He was probably an incel until he married his wife at the age of 40. Probably an arranged marriage with the help of the Koch brothers. They probably felt he needed a wife and children if he was going to get into the federal court system as a judge.
